I'm a bit out of practice with my Welsh, but I still remember the more colorful bits. Useful, sometimes, for those moments when politer vernacular doesn't quite fit the situation, but my daughters' tender ears are close enough to overhear. I'm Scots-born, personally, but I spent most of my years in London.

That'd be one way of putting it. What started as a visit to my sweetheart unexpectedly became an extended stay. So, I'm here in California, and my bakery keept churning out the cakes and cookies without me back in Chicago.
