Hello, everyone in cyberspace! I finally got fed up with deleting these emails from my account and here I am, complete with new anti-virus software just in case this isn't kosher. I hope it's legitimate, though. Such insistent emails just simply have to mean something important and big is going on.

So what is it? A party? A pyramid scheme? Human trafficking? Coupons? Cyber-orgy? ;)

I suppose I should do the customary Getting To Know You thing, too. My name is Misha, I'm an actress in NYC, I'm a Taurus, and I like hot fudge sundaes, rose gardens, and romantic comedies.

I'm sure there's more to you than that. You must have some very unique talents to come to a place like this.

Oh, my goodness. It's an honor, Ms. Lovelace. The girls at work and I read your magazine all the time.

And there is always more to a person than little things like that but a girl never likes to put all her cards on the table at once, I think. Besides I didn't know what kind of thing this was but I suppose if celebrities such as yourself and Mr. Cyrus are here I should give a bit more of an introduction than that sort of Singles Seeking Singles riff.

We do have quite a number of surprising individuals here. Musicians, doctors, designers, business magnates, as well as students, retail workers, you name it. But, regardless of who we are, dear, what brings us here is who we were.

I'm coming to the realization that every single one of us here was previously someone else and that's why we got the emails. Am I following the idea right? I'm thinking I should have introduced myself differently first then!

It's quite all right, dear. We get some who know exactly who they were and others who have no idea. We'd prefer not to shock the ignorant for the most part.

And with that in mind, I'm Aphrodite.

That's very considerate of you all and I'm sure others appreciate it. I know I would have if I hadn't already known.

Trust me, though, coming into this knowing who you are makes it so much easier. But, I see you've met a few of our other members already too.

It dos make it a little less jarring. Once everyone started adding their other names into their introduction there was a sense of exhalation, you know? A feeling of relief that, no, I'm perfectly sane and this isn't a bad batch of brownies.

It's always a good idea to know yourself, I think. It's vital.

You're as sane as any of the rest of us, dear. I'm sure my former husband can certify you on that.

I'll be sure to have him check on that but, honestly, it didn't worry me too much because being a little off-kilter actually helps in my career path.

Do you mind me asking when you realized you were the goddess of love and beauty?

Truthfully, I don't think there was a defined moment. My mother is a Classics professor, so I've been surrounded by these stories since birth. I figured it out as a very small child.

So then it's just always been a part of your world view and sense of self. That must have made getting the emails seem almost silly.

Well, it was a bit of a shock, interrupting a lovely moment with my lover at the time. We'd never told each other our real names until that moment.

I can only imagine. So your lover was also one of us? If it's not too personal, who?
