We've all suffered pain. It doesn't give him an excuse. He learns, he trains. Or when the next attack comes while our defenses are still weak, he dies. Hiding behind his mother's skirts won't save him if the government calls for our extermination. And they are, even as we speak.

I have no issue getting my hands dirty. I had to lead a pantheon of alpha-male warriors on several occasional. I'm aware of what you have to do in wartime.

Fine, then let US prepare him. He's one of our family and it's our responsibility. You'll have your way on that front soon enough with that attitude. Because, believe it or not, there are people trying to kill us and plotting ways to exterminate us right now as we speak. Attempts have already been made on most of our lives, mine included. Bombs, poisons, knives, guns, mob beatings, arson, and that's just the beginning. One of our mothers-to-be was bound and tortured--burned and with slurs carved over her body, and then forced to watch as her beloved was nearly beaten to death before her eyes. We have all suffered. We've all had losses. You're not special in that regard, and what happened to you was no fluke. Welcome to survivors' camp.

My job is to keep us all alive by ensuring we're ready when the next attack comes--and that is a "when" and not and "if." We have no time to waste in making preparations. The war has already begun, and, like it or not, you're a soldier on our side.

Well, super. I'm glad everyone else is aware and on their toes. If I'm attacked, I couldn't give two shits less at this point. I seriously doubt what happened to me was a fluke--I was in North Africa, and it's not really all that unheard of for an psycho extremist to walk in with a backpack full of C-4.

Sounds like the rest of you are doing just fine with you in charge. I am very sorry for what happened to the woman and her loved one. I hope they are doing well, but I can't imagine the two of them bounced back up a week later--mentally or physically.
