I know this is short notice and I'm very sorry about this. I feel like a complete jerk. But I wanted to let you all know that I've accepted a job out in Washington. I'll be moving out there before the new school year starts.

I'm sorry. I don't want to leave you all but it happened so fast and I have to.

I'm going to miss seeing Meri all the time. She's amazing and she's going to grow into a independent woman before I know it. I promise to visit as much as I can.

No, it's not. I know this is sudden but I've thought about this and I can't continue to be a country away from her. Especially not anymore.

I've asked her to marry me and she's accepted. And we're going to be having a baby.

I'm going to miss you and Astarte and Meri as well as Dite and her kids.

I can't realistically stop you. It will eventually happen however. The Greeks are already so numerous and now they have a familial link into our pantheon. They could very well use that connection in the future to their advantage.

I've fought for nearly my entire existence against those who sought to control me, so I'm willing to admit it may be a factor, however I doubt our "allies" have forgotten we were formally in a race for dominance.

If you're asking if I believe Erato herself would be in on it? No, I do not. However I'm certain the thought would cross the minds of the higher-placed members of her family. Why conquer something if you can just annex it?

You came in after the ceasefire Bes, so you are unfamiliar with the tensions that existed before. Greece was arguably in the lead then and likely would be now as well.

All I'm saying is watch your back out there, and don't be surprised if someone starts talking about "formal Greek-Egyptian relations".
