Mmhm, I remember. How are you holding up? I'm guessing you can't sleep.

Yeah. I mean no. I mean, I can't sleep. It's... it's a bad one tonight. [His foot jiggling nervously as he asks] But it might get better if I had some more.

More? Oh, no. [Her voice surprisingly softens and takes on a musical quality.] You don't want that, honey, no.

Is... is this a "No, you really haven't been wanting it for months now," or a "No, I'm trying to convince you not to have more?" [He absently gulps a swallow of cheap red wine from the box next to him.]

It's a "no, you don't want more." [She sighs but her voice becomes even more gentle and the undertone of music strengthens, soothing and melodic.] I can't get any for you, anyway. Not really. Even if I could, I would be a poor sport indeed to give it to you. Your own wine is sweet enough, Reveler. Trust in it.

[He sighs too as her words sink in, following it up with another deep gulp from the box.] So how come yours seems so much sweeter? Is it like one of those grass-is-greener kind of things?

... It's made from things you can't possibly get in this world and, well, under circumstances you could never hope to recreate. Come now, darling. You don't expect me to give away the vintner's secrets, do you?

[She pauses and then he can hear a faint smile in her voice.] And we Fae are experts at making the grass greener, you know.

[A half-bleak chuckle.] Well, that's fair enough. Tell you the truth, though, I wouldn't mind this grape being more... uh, grape-y. [He looks askance at the box for a second before taking another monster gulp from it.]
