Okay, this e-mail is just incorrigible, and I guess trying this out is better than smashing my computer, right? I mean, I need to do business on it, and I can't afford a new one.

So hi, my name is Josephine -- I'm more comfortable with Seph, though -- from South San Francisco. From skimming the board and the names straight out of antiquity and everything, I'm guessing this is a past lives discussion group? While I do have some memories of four past lives, one of them pretty far back, I really don't remember them clearly enough to add much to the discussion. I'm trying to figure if my mom or my ex let something slip to someone who signed me up for this, because I don't talk about it all that much.

...Aphrodite, right? I didn't mean to imply I had a grudge or something. The kid was.... a thousand times better off with you anyway. And that stuff with your daughter-in-law wasn't a problem. It's just that's the first thing that came to mind when I saw your picture.

Okay, I am officially the worst feminist ever, but really, who's going to give you a problem who wouldn't also give Hades a problem? The same ones who'd reject a woman would reject anyone who wasn't them on principle. You'll have to shut them up the same way anyone would have.

I freely admit my ulterior motives for encouraging this thought: I'd much rather see you on the actual throne than in the one next to Hades.

No, kitten. It's all male ego and machismo at work here. You and I both know that neither Hades nor Poseidon--especially not Poseidon--would bend the knee to a woman. They are sons of Kronos, after all. The only way to even pull off a gambit like that would be to set the men at each others' throats and then take it from right under their noses while they squabble.

Pet, trust me, I don't like the idea of being made to belong to any man. I'd prefer not to be married if I don't have to, and if I have no other choice, it'll be on my terms. Hades has agreed to the terms, but you might need to butter him up to convince him to bend the knee to a child of Ouranos.
