First off, as you've noticed, Arthur has come. I still stand with the Greeks, but I've made ties with the Celts. He wants me to join them when they meet. He seems a good man, but they'll need help if they are to succeed.

Also, there's the fact that we apparently have maenads running loose. I've contacted Dionysus on the matter, but he says he didn't summon them. He doesn't show much interest in controlling them, either, but I'm trying to persuade him to at least do something with them to minimize the damage. It certainly won't do us any favors with the general public.

How are things developing on your end?

Yes, I encountered one not too long ago myself. They're not reborn like us. They are possessing mortals as they once did. I considered contacting him myself.

Relations between Aphrodite and I are good, though the return of Persephone has made things..awkward.

So, one in Lincoln and one in Chicago, and goodness-only-knows where else? Damn it. They tend to be attracted to large cities. More victims, more crimes, less chance that it'll stand out.

The maenad who spoke to me implied we were on the same side. She also said they were doing these things to gain power. Though for what reason I cannot say. Do you want me to speak to him?

Well, you don't get to be the wife of the wine god without learning a few things about maenads.

Everything they do directly feeds Dionysus's abilities. It's one of the reasons he tends to let them do whatever they want.

They're stronger as a group--they sort of feed off each other. One alone is a threat. A pack is nearly unstoppable until they're sated.

If you'd like to speak with him, be my guest. He's usually online every day or so. Email or the boards tend to be reliable.

I don't think they've maintained their old ties to him. They are definitely serving something, but what i do not know. I admit I find speaking to him an exasperating experience, but I suppose it couldn't hurt.

I'll have to disagree somewhat with you there. Dionysus said he hasn't felt this good in ages. It's no coincidence. What these women are doing is feeding back to him.

But, something else woke them. And I'm not sure what.

I sometimes wonder if I should have shot the maenad when I had the chance.

Shooting them doesn't help. It only destroys the body, not the driving spirit. They have to be controlled and redirected. I was never able to do it myself, but then again, I was mortalborn. Dionysus, or someone of higher rank than him, can do it.
