[Since Poseidon's wrath of power weeks ago, Chelsea had mixed feelings. Sure, there was uncertainty there with what her father was capable of. It was majestic, and inspiring. She was in plain awe of what he could do. There also came that nagging feeling of restlessness that she could be easily tossed aside, especially after seeing how Aphrodite use and fawn over him. She didn't talk to him for days. Finally, he'd had enough of Chelsea's silent treatment and once again they wrangled through a spat.

"What the fuck is wrong with you kid? Get used to being one of many."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Triton was already there, she was sure other of his children might pop up.

"You know what it means." He replied flatly. "You might get slapped with another brother or sister from Dite."

Her jaw dropped. Seriously, she was going to punch him in the face. And she tried. But he didn't get vicious on her. He held her in his iron grip by the shoulders. "I won't lose you Chelsea." That was a demand on his part. His Amphitrite wasn't going to be thrown out if he had anything to say about it. Her sway over anyone, even a goddess of Love went beyond himself. Even Triton, a favored of his offspring held nothing in comparison to Chelsea.]

It's a shame I can't eradicate the population when the brat pisses me off like I could weeks ago.

I have no intention of taking your father from you. This isn't the first time I've been mother to a child of his. It may not be the last. He has a right to know, but I'm not asking for any investment on his part.

I'm not sure about it being an orgy... I guess Ebony or Lilith or whatever her name is just showed up at our house that night, and, uh, things happened.

I've known since I was six who he really was. Yeah, I'm starting to think that's a good idea.

No kidding. He's big, mean and selfish. Triton is here, one of his kids. I'm his only mortal kid (I guess that's what they call us). He kind of destroyed my mother because of a temper tantrum. He is a vengeful sort of god.

Wow. How'd you find out? Harper (that's my little sister) and I only just found out a few weeks ago. You know. On the Equinox. He was really cool about it, though. He showed us books, and told us stories. Showed us the trees in the backyard. Oh, and he picked up the car with one hand. That was pretty cool.

Our mom... We lost her in a car accident. Dad was pretty broken up about it. In some ways, I'm kinda glad he's got someone in his life again besides just us kids. It's still weird, though.

I just kind of knew something was different. At six years old you can sense things. My mom thought I was crazy, but my dad has never been a dishonest man, through all his faults and treachery.

Well, my mother isn't dead but she might as well be as fucked up as he's made her in her head.
