[ She frowned, this time she did reach out and touch him, taking his hands in hers, pulling them away from his face.]

That is certainly not fine. This has never happened to you before?

[ She hated to ask that question but she had to, if only to rule out this being something normal.]

[His breath hitched a bit as she grabbed his hands. Fuck. Mixed signals fuzzed in his brain for a moment. She was attractive, and Legion, well, Legion had already been thinking she was quite lovely.

Fuck. The combination of whatever the hell she was doing to him, and the demons clamoring to get out aren't making it easy for him to say words, much less anything coherent.]

-not this badly, no. [He can't particularly bring himself to slap her hands away or anything quite so drastic. But he considers it. They want out of his body and into hers, and she's just so close, and her hands are so soft, and she's just so- dreadfully pretty, it kind of stings.]

[She knows she's probably distracting him a little, but she's too concerned to not offer some kind of comfort. Her thumbs makes softly little circle patterns over the backs of his hands.]

[She's probably unaware to the fact that she's not helping, nor comforting him. In fact, it's driving him a bit crazy to have her touching him, and he can't look at much but his hands, and the floor. Oh, fuck this whole thing-]

I feel like- [He pauses for a moment. This isn't the voice that should be coming out of him. Granted, he still sounds a little like 'Max', but it feels like they're all trying to speak through him.] I don't know. I feel like I want out of myself- [He tugs her hands a bit, actually holding them now, actually getting a little closer to her, actually- hm. Liking it? Well, all signs point to him having lost his mind already. This really couldn't get much worse, though a low demonic voice slips it's way out, bristles along and takes it's time to actually make sense.]

[He tugged her hands, and she steps forward because that's what you did when a friend pulled on your hands. But things were rapidly becoming less than normal. The demonic sound that came out of him didn't necessarily frighten her, but it did give her more cause for concern.]

Max remember, you are in control of them. They don't make the choices. You do.

[She stressed his human name, and did not try to take her hands back. No, if he was this out of control, touching him was her best and only real defense.]

[Too late. He barely recognizes 'Max' as his name, instead, the clamoring consciousness would rather press up against her, lips almost against her neck, not being quite nice about either action he's taking.]

[Oh crap. Legion wasn't like most men, he was many others all in one body. And technically, they were all touching her.

In hindsight, maybe actively using her powers on him was a mistake. She didn't want to hurt him. He was her friend, just a little out of control of himself at the moment. So she tried just staying calm and talking to him...them.]

[He's normally not quite so out of his mind, but there's a certain sense of relief that comes from pressing his lips to her neck. Finally getting that close to her. It's like a sigh. He's not sure what could come from contact like this, but it feels as if his consciousness has simply walked out and slammed the door behind it. A hand wrenches itself from hers and slips down to grace her thigh.]

[Well, he's bent on possessing her. One way or the other. And right now, he's only really aware of the one way. The other, however is starting to clamor out of him with an equal ferocity. At the most, there are tiny demonic fingers groping out to find her consciousness as his mortal ones grasp at her skin.]

[Well this had gone to hell in a hand basket rather quickly. Oddly, it wasn't his hands or lips on her skin that bothered her. Those she knew how to deflect, though she felt a vague desire to not push him away that she couldn't quite understand. That feeling, coupled with the fact that he was her friend and not fully in control of himself, kept her hands still and unstruggling. It was the feeling that something was encroaching on her mind that frightened her. Was he doing what she thought he was?]

[So it was 'Legion' now, was it? Her words didn't dissuade much. If anything, there was a spark of mischief embedded into the collective consciousness. The Many felt as if they were groping around in the darkness, and really, so did Max, his teeth slightly scraping at her neck. But- not for long. Finding a good grip on her consciousness (and by chance, her nightgown), they attempted to seize her.]

[She'd tried to give him a chance to back off. He was her friend after all. But Lilith had never bent to any man before and she wasn't about to start now.

On a long slow sigh, her hands slid up around his neck, a hand tangling into his hair. She pressed herself against him, her lips brushing the shell of his ear, and she whispered.]

I'm sorry...

[For a instant, it seemed like she was going to not fight him, the press of him on her mind was so strong. And then, before he could break past her will, she brought her knee up between his legs as hard as she could.]

[Holy. Fucking. Fuck. The knee to the crotch immediately put an end to whatever power trip Legion had been going on, in favor of crumpling to the floor in something of a tiny black heap. Fucking hell.

He couldn't even look at her, but once her touch was completely gone, he was sure he would have felt better, had it not felt like someone had just attempted to castrate him with a blunt object. It took him a moment to realize exactly what he'd been doing to get himself in that position, and once the pain had finally started to subside, both of his hands went to his forehead.]

I'm so sorry. [Max was, at least. Legion was at least several shades of pissed off.]

[When he dropped, she recoiled a step as well. She even balled her hands into fists and put them behind her back. She couldn't touch him again or it would all start all over. As it was, she hovered and that worried her that she was still too close. For his sake, not hers.]

Don't be, you couldn't help it. I shouldn't have touched you. I'm so sorry.

-What? I mean, [This is confusing, and the pull to get inside of her head again is- overwhelming. But he remains on the floor, deliberately, as to not tempt himself into trying anything again. Besides, the pain is still a little too much to actually consider standing up again.]

It should take a little more than you holding my hand to make me try to- do that to you, shouldn't it? jesus. [He shakes his head, and sighs into his hands.] I don't even know what that was.

[ Distance was wise for both of them. As it was she was certain her presence was difficult enough for him to deal with. Maybe she should have found something more substantial to wear before coming to find him.]

My powers induce desire for me in others. Touching them increases the desire, but usually that kind of reaction takes hours of exposure to happen.

[It takes him a while to scrape himself from the floor. The combination of her being here, and this entire thing being downright awkward is starting to become frustrating. He just nods, comes towards her a little, and steadies himself on the door.]

I'm sorry. But- you really- [He has to pause. Collect himself. Stare at the floor. Anything to keep from wanting to claw his way into her mind.] You really should go. At least for a bit. I don't really know what I just tried to do to you, so-

[He motions for her to move along, so he can close the door.]

[ She gave him a small smile, brushed her hair behind her ear and turned away.]

[Of course she's still lovely. Her hair, her face, her nightgown. Something is screaming that this won't be something he'll be able to shake off too easily, but for now, getting her away from him, at least until he gets whatever is in his head straightened out, or...something.]

[He's not sure what to make of her smile, exactly, but he shuts the door behind her, a little too loudly and unceremoniously. Though not before looking at her like hed rather devour her than watch her walk away.]
