[There's the briefest silence, because she's startled by the news. She actually sounds baffled and surprised.]

Awake? How?

I'm..I'm not entirely sure, but..I think it was that bottle I received on Christmas. Father's been in that state so long..I didn't see how things could worsen, so..I gave it to him. The next day the doctor calls me to tell me he's woken up.

No..no, thank you..I just needed to talk to someone about it. He wants to talk to me tomorrow about the company.

Father's always been very practical. He needs a wheelchair for mobility at the moment, but he's very alert. I cautioned him regarding his health, but he said it was something that should be taken care of in case something like that happens again.

I'm always suspicious when people not loyal to me are suddenly being nice. Makes me thinking they're buttering us up for something that's going to happen. Then again I may just be paranoid.

We are of the same mind on that. However, I recommend taking every advantage that we can get. No one said we are not allowed to take the gifts with a grain of salt.
