Out of curiosity, would you be interested in some books for your classroom? My mom owns a few bookstores and is a fan of passing on knowledge to kids.

Really? That would be amazing. The public school system being what it is, it can be hard to get some materials and my pockets are only so deep.

Yeah, the kids that need the stuff the most are the ones most often ignored. My mom's a huge advocate of doing what she can where she can. It's great to be able to help.

What age groups are we looking at?

I teach second grade so we could start with 7 year olds. I have a reading corner set up in my room for them to chill in during breaks or if they have to wait for their parents after school. Unless she wants to donate to the Boys and Girls Club? We'll take anything at all there.

My mom is a pretty amazing lady, yeah. Too bad it's taken her leaving my dad for him to figure it out, although they seem to spend more time together now than they did married. Probably more than you wanted to know, I'm sure.

No, that's okay. Parents can be cute. I'm the product of a rather nuclear family myself. Mom and Dad have been married 40 years and counting - despite 3 boys and 3 girls putting them to the test.

I have a couple spares if you want to try out having siblings. You can borrow either of my older brothers but not my younger sisters. No offense but no sane man can handle them.

Seriously, though, we're close and I would never change them for the world.

Between you and me, though, being close to my family is going to cause some extra problems with this god thing. Leah has been after me to visit and I think she is also fishing to share an apartment but I don't want her getting put in the middle of this.

Did you know someone shot at that Triton guy? What other crazy stuff is going to happen? It's not something I want my kid sister to have to deal with, you know?

My parents don't know. Not yet, anyway. Hell, I don't even know. I haven't really connected with that part of me yet... other than the fact that when it kicks in, I apparently glow. Thank God it's not sparkling.

Yeah. He's made it pretty clear a few times that people have been attacked. I don't really know what to make of it myself, and my folks have already had to deal with me being in a wrong place at the wrong time. I don't think the two are connected.

I've been doing my research and remembering things and let's just say I'm not looking forward to finding out if I physically change. I won't go sparkly, glowy, or anything even remotely cute like that.
