This is one of the stranger message boards I've seen. I'm not quite sure what it's all about. All I know was I was getting the shit spammed out of me, and getting on here seems to have made it stop. I don't know who signed me up for this, but I hope they didn't sign me up for any others. I'd hate to have to change over emails because of too much spam, I've had my current email for a long time now.

I've only been here since the fall. I'm a freshman at UCLA.

I like it here alright. It's a hell of a lot better than Nebraska. It has been a big adjustment.

What's Nebraska like? I've never been. Actually, I haven't been out of California too much at all.

Oh yeah? Sweet! I'm hoping to go premed, so I've been loading up on the sciences so far.

Been keeping busy with school, but my roomie's good at getting me out and making me be social. Getting out to bars and clubs seeing the sights.

What's Nebraska like? Worst place ever. Nothing there at all, at least not where I m from.

He's a good guy, puts up with all my quirks and weirdness. And I do get my breaks from the books too. Gone to some concerts, gone to some things on campus. The beaches, of course. There was really nothing to do back home, and I mean nothing, so I'm still working on figuring out what to do with myself here.

Plenty. There is the Greek theater so plenty of concerts and lots of shops and restaurants and the botanical garden and the farmer's market and the rose garden and the park up in the hills.

I hear you. It started out pretty calm for me. Weird but calm and then the Gaia stuff happened. It's a lot of heavy stuff to handle but I think we're through the worst of it and hopefully we can just keep sorting out who we are and how we all can hang out and get together.

It brings new meaning to the word "multi-task", let me tell you. How do you balance classes and being a reincarnated god, right? I have a part-time job, too. Luckily, I don't sleep much. :) I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out. You seem like a smart, balanced guy!

Luckily school comes kinda naturally to me. At least the things I'm studying do.

Maybe? I think the board is just here to make it easier since we're spread out across the country. Luckily, we all seem to be in the US and my group is lucky in that, so far, we're all kind of close but the Greeks are all across the country. Who can afford plane fare all the time, huh?

Oh, I got along with pretty much everyone unless you happened to be a greedy, spouse-stealing demon. Then we had problems. :) But I can see how it would get awkward. Not all religions were sunshine and light and many of the old tales feature direct conflict between deities and factions. You're Anubis, right? There was some serious in-fighting in the Egyptians if I remember my random reading right. So I think I see where you're coming from.

You're lucky. School drives me up a wall. I can do it and do it okay but I hate sitting in a classroom.

I know, right? I don't have much money to spare. I might have to get a job this summer so I'll have more spending money next year.

Greedy spouse-stealing demon? So... you had a wife? Sorry, I don't really know anything about your pantheon. I wasn't really raised with any religion, and I only learned a little bit about the Greeks and Egyptians in school. I was always interested about the Egyptian deities, so I did my own reading up about them.

Yeah, we got a real sick fuck in our pantheon. At least he was when Anubis knew him. And it turns out he's out there somewhere too. I just hope he's not still holding a grudge. Compared to him, school's no worry at all. The others in my pantheon are saying it'll be alright. Hope they're right.

I hear you. I work part-time at a restaurant up here and then do odd jobs around the neighborhood. Yardwork, you know? Luckily, I'm low maintenance.

I had a wife, I think, but it wasn't my wife that got stolen. She was Rama's and I met him and his brother when they were searching for her. I helped. A lot, really. ;)

If they know him and they say that it'll be okay, trust them. Just be careful, too. The way I figure, there are still too few of us to go all-out infighting. You don't have to be BFFs with the guy and, if you're worried, it probably is best to not be alone with him until you're sure but I really hope that you both can be civil to each other.

Besides, you can't get laid up by this guy. You and me are on for pizza.

That's so weird, right? I have these dreams a lot, for as long as I can remember, except now I guess they're actually memories. I think I had a wife too, and a daughter.

Believe me, I'll be careful. Super extra careful. Though death doesn't necessarily scare me or anything. It was kinda part of Anubis's thing, after all. But I would rather stay alive.

I don't think we have to get back together with our wives or expect that we'll have our kids again if we had kids, though, which is a weight off my mind. I am so very not ready to have kids or a wife or husband or concubine or whatever. But to see people you knew back then again and make friends with them all over? It sounds cool.

Good, good. Super extra careful is something I can support. Death really isn't something to be scared of, no, but it's not something that you should go jumping after, I think. Unless you're looking for a heads start on your next reincarnation.

But you might want to. If you met someone again who you loved in a past life, you might still love them. Who knows. It would be nice to meet family and loved ones again.
